48 Hours EP

It's late and this will most likely be a dumb post, but screw you. Life is too damn short to be worrying about little problems that don't have a major affect on you. I had a good day today. I've started skateboarding, it's fun. I talked philosophically for a while with an old friend. Just follow your heart, that's it pure and simple. If there is a secret to life, that's it.

The Will to Death

Please read this post. I know it's hard because it's one big paragraph, but please bear with me.

It's amazing, psychology and sociology. It amazes me how often these two subjects come into play in my daily life. How fast one's ego and self confidence can dwindle down to a dying ember. Once the feeling of belonging and being loved diminishes, how fast the world around you can crumble. How important it is to belong. How people will backstab and betray just to satisfy their own needs. It's only human. It's only human. The environment can cause a seed to sprout or cause it to dry out and deteriorate. A tree can grow to be a mighty giant or just a shrub striving to stay in existence. It's amazing how one's environment and the people surrounding them can change them so drastically. How heartless and cruel people can be. How blind, how unaware of their existence, how ignorant of where they are in the world. How people can consider only themselves. How people can't see how they act and don't realize the meaning of their actions. How amazing is it that some people can't see that they are selfish, can't see that they are careless. How some people can throw their garbage on the ground and not feel responsible. Of course if everyone was like this happiness would be false and non realistic. Happiness is in the absense of lies. But some people don't know the lies they live and will continue to live until some day when they are awakened by truth, only then will they be truly happy. Unless one follows their heart and says and does as they feel they truly should, true happiness is not even existent in their world. They can fill themselves with instant pleasures and with instant gratifications, but is it true happiness? Gandhi once said, "Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony." So here I am, left to ponder this in a much deeper way. Incredible how something said so simple can be so simple and yet so deep at the same time. Actually I could go back and replace the word amazing with the word sad. It is sad. But what I've written obviously isn't the truth, perhaps it is, but I throw it out there because that's how I feel at the time, I want others to here it. Maybe it could make someone's day better, perhaps it could enlighten them. Maybe it makes them think less of me. Either way, it's how I feel and I love it. Have a good night. Peace and Love.

Yeah, I know. Those late night posts are a little out there. But whatever, I guess it's how I feel. A good night to all, mainly Karissa because she is probably the only one that ever reads this. Peace.

If I Could Only Remember My Name

Today I went to class, three of them. One was in the library. I never knew how big the library was. Four entire floors full of text. Can you fathom how much knowlege could be obtained from reading even one percent of those books? There are so many books that I don't think ten people could get through them all in a life time. I read about Mahatma Gandhi today. Wow. I'm excited to write my research or an Isearch paper about him. I am writing on the Salt Satyagraha. Gandhi took a lot of people to the ocean to grab a handful of salt to protest against the outrageous British tax placed upon salt at the time. They walked around two hundred miles to get there.

The sense of scent is extremely powerful. I just got Shea Butter hand soap and it brings back the most amazing feelings. I get shivers from it. I didn't realize the person who it reminded me of until I had a dream about them after washing my hands. All the way through the day I kept getting this burst of happiness that would send waves of ectasy through my body. It still does, I just smile and laugh.

I've decided also to attept to purify my mind a bit. I know that it;s impossible to completely purify your mind. I am in college and there are too many distractions to keep my mind pure here. But I figure that if I follow my heart I will therefore partially cleanse my mind. What a day, what a day.

Does anyone read this anymore? I'm on spring break and bored. I got a lot of new retro clothing, pretty cool. My dad and I had a in depth conversation. It was quite refreshing when compared to the simplistic conversations I have at Western. People are scared to get into a discussion or conversation about topics that threaten their identity. Mainly because they have to evidence and support to back it up. Actually most simply don't care. I am going skiing this weekend with my parents. Skiing for the first time this year. Out at Crystal or Caberfae. If anyone would like to talk to me or reach me because they miss me, I'm sure evryone does, feel free to IM me.
